WHAT: “Show The People” Rally – we may not have millions to spend, but we’ve got actual supporters, lots of them!
WHEN: 11:30AMĀ Thursday, October 23rd
WHERE: Arizona Capitol Lawn – 1700 W. Washington, Phoenix
WHY: The payday lenders have spent more than $13 million so far to promote Prop 200, an initiative that would allow them to charge 391% interest rates indefinitely.
We have more than 100 endorsing organizations and businesses, as well as thousands of individual supporters across the state, standing shoulder to shoulder against the payday loan sharks and their deceptive proposition.
Join us this Thursday at 11:30 AM at the State Capitol for the SHOW THE PEOPLE Rally!
Box lunches available – first come first served; t-shirts for volunteers; pictures with “The Loan Shark;” opportunities to sign up for Election Day; and prizes for the best loan shark costumes!
While the payday lenders will continue to throw money around to try to win this election with false advertising, concerned Arizonans will mobilize to ensure that Proposition 200 is defeated at the polls.
The “SHOW THE PEOPLE” Rally is the official kick-off of the grassroots No on 200 Get-Out-The-Vote effort.
Volunteers and Allies: Call Volunteer Coordinator Dallas Gold at (602) 451-0297.
